all women together

What Added Value is the So Called Womens Day to Cameroonian Women?

The misinterpretation of this day has caused our women to have a different conception from its original concept.

Womens day is NOT a national business, nor a merry making day in Cameroon.

It is not a day to extort women for national gains with the high prices of unnecessary national campaign gadgets (fabric) particularly the rural women.

It is an international day for women to table in their plights, grievances, unequal representation, discrimination and GBV to their governments for amendments.

Presently in the Cameroonian context, womens day 2019, and any other day kept aside for women, should be mourning days for our women in the Anglophone regions.

It is these days, kept so special for women to cry out loud for the government to restore peace and #Killthewar, instead of our women. Since 2016, Anglophone women/girls has been grossly violated and abused of their rights as a result of the crisis in Cameroon, (Anglophone crisis).

This an opportunity for all Cameroonian women to join All Women Together (AWT)

-To mourn our unjustly killed women/girls in the northwest and southwest regions.

– To bring back our women in the crisis regions out of the bushes,

– To let the Cameroonian government, international bodies, human rights activists all over the world to know the pains, violence, agony and painful death of Cameroonian women.

Join AWT in this fight of misinterpretation of international womens day in Cameroon.

Join AWT to wear black in memory of our women killed in the crisis regions.

Join AWT to fight against GBV in Cameroon.

Join AWT to pass across the right message to our women.
